Total Child is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian, and non-discriminatory program.
Annual Fundraiser
We rely on our annual fundraiser to help provide tuition scholarships for families in need of tuition assistance.
This year, Total Child plans to provide more than $25,000 in financial aid from public and private sources, or about 5 percent of the school’s budget.
Tuition assistance helps families with lower incomes, families in which one or both parents are unemployed, and families who do not qualify for government assistance but still struggle to cover the cost of childcare.
When unexpected economic hardship strikes families who have children in our programs, tuition scholarships help ensure that these families can remain part of this community.
Total Child accepts limited but needed in-kind donations.
Currently, we do not have a wish list. However, if you have something you would like to donate to Total Child, please contact Director Laura Carr about it, at director@totalchild.org or 847.864.7100.
Volunteer
Volunteers make possible our annual fundraiser and community events, as well as events for our Total Child Community. We also value parent volunteers in the classroom.
Board
The Total Child Board is responsible for establishing and monitoring its annual operating budget. The program also has an annual independent audit of its financial operations. If you are interested in joining the TC Board, please contact Director Laura Carr at director@totalchild.org or 847.864.7100.
First United Methodist Church’s support of Total Child evolves out of a theological commitment to diversity and a belief that high quality, affordable, early childhood education is vital to our community. In support of this commitment, First Church provides Total Child with its classrooms, motor room, playground, kitchen facilities, utilities and insurance at no charge. The church also offers the use of its building for Total Child special events. This financial and in-kind support provides a strong foundation for our program’s fiscal operation.
