Each room includes a cozy reading/quiet corner with well-stocked book shelves, a dramatic play space, an open art area, a housekeeping area, and writing and science areas. Children have access to a wide variety of sensory materials, blocks, and toys.
Library
Our library is stocked with a collection of books, CDs, puzzles, toys, and other materials that are available for teachers to use in their classrooms.
Indoor Gym (the “Motor Room”)
Our giant indoor playground provides physical and social development and includes swings, a climbing wall, a wooden play structure, as well as other equipment.
Outdoor Playground
For outdoor play and exercise, we offer a large, private, fenced playground. The playground features swings, climbing equipment, a tricycle path, and a large sand area.
Our Building
Total Child is housed in the First United Methodist Church of Evanston. FUMC provides Total Child the use of the building as part of its mission of outreach to the community.
There is no religious component to any of Total Child’s programs.
